The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (Public Law No. 111-149) as amended by the Health Care and Education Reconciliation Act of 2010 (Public Law No. 111-152) signed into law on March 23, 2010 and March 30, 2010, respectively (the “Affordable Care Act”) significantly impacts virtually every individual and business. The Affordable Care Act is complex and various new rules become effective at different times over a period of eight years. A panel of experts and informed practitioners will discuss technical aspects of the recently released DOL and HHS regulations and practical considerations that employers must take into account relative to employee benefit design, cost and employee communications.
The program will cover the following topics:
- Analysis of Recently Released Regulations
- Key Compliance Requirements and Effective Dates
- Grandfathered Health Plans
- Dependent Coverage of Children Up to Age 26
- Guidance Regarding HHS Annual Limit Waiver Program
- Flexible Spending and Health Reimbursement Arrangements/Health Savings Accounts/OTC Medication Reimbursements
